Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about learning macramé with clinical clarity at ClearWeave Institute.
How are courses structured?
Each course includes a clear objective, time estimate, techniques list, and a final checklist. Units are short and cumulative, so you can revisit fundamentals anytime.
What tools do I need to start?
A stable hanging bar or dowel, measuring tape, washable marker, sharp blade, and your preferred cord (we recommend 3–5 mm to start). Optional: clips and a steam source for finishing.
Do you offer beginner-friendly courses?
Yes. Our Foundations track covers square knots, lark’s head, and double half-hitch with timeboxing drills and spacing marks for confidence building.
How do Fallows (favorites) work?
Click the star in the catalog to toggle a course into your Fallows list. We save IDs in your browser only. Visit the Fallows page to review or remove items.
Can I access courses on mobile?
Yes. The site is responsive. Our text-first approach and diagrammatic instructions read cleanly on smaller screens.
Do you provide refunds?
As a general rule, access to digital content is non-refundable once granted. If you encounter an access issue, contact us and we will assist promptly.
How long will I have access?
Unless otherwise noted, course access is ongoing for the lifetime of the course on our platform. If we retire a course, we will provide advance notice and suggested alternatives.
Do you guarantee specific results?
We do not make guarantees. Outcomes depend on practice time and prior experience. We provide clear instructions and structured drills to support steady progress.
Are there any prerequisites for advanced courses?
Advanced courses recommend completing the Foundations track first. Each course page clearly lists the required prior skills and techniques.
